Volunteering at Cherkley Court

“There’s a great team spirit here and you couldn’t pick a more beautiful place to be involved in”

Michael – Volunteer Garden Steward

Cherkley Court relies on a trusty team of volunteers to assist the staff in the garden, especially during its busy opening season from April through September.

Volunteers can help in the garden itself as gardeners, as garden stewards, and in the ticket office.  All we ask is that volunteers commit to a half or whole day on a regular basis and we provide full training, a meal, and necessary uniform and equipment. You will also be entitled to visit the gardens with a guest when you aren't volunteering.

Join our friendly team of volunteers and make a difference!

We are currently looking for volunteers to help in our new vegetable garden - if you are interested in this area please contact us!

Working Parties!

Can't offer regular time but would like to volunteer on a one-off basis? Working parties get together from time to time on Mondays or Fridays to tackle garden projects. Enjoy working in the garden for a few hours followed by a picnic lunch or tea afterwards! Contact Lin to sign up for a working party!
